The Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is a centuries old trek across northern Spain done by following "The Camino de Santiago", the road to Santiago. Before February of 2001 I had not heard of "The Camino" nor of the Pilgrimage. By the end of October of that year I was in Santiago after completing the walk myself. I thought that when I reached Santiago my journey was over but I see now that my journey started way before I got to Spain and still has not ended.

October 14, 1972, The Waltons television series premiers on CBS.
I really disliked The Waltons. Never knew exactly when it appeared on the screen, but am sorry to say that occasionally I still stumble over an episode of it. It is one hit show that made it to air for reasons I'll never understand.
The TV movie (The Homecoming: A Christmas Story) done the year before was a lot better. I really dislike programs set in other time periods that do nothing about the modern hairstyles and make-up of the actors. Television in the 1970s always made that mistake.
