I've Been Away From Blogging For So Long I Forgot What I Do Around Here

It's almost four months since my husband had his knee replacement surgery and he is doing better than expected.  In fact, he is doing so well that, when his therapy sessions were over,  his physical therapist gave him a certificate praising him for his commitment and for being the best client he (the therapist) had ever worked with.  Getting there took a long and stressful three months for the both of us.  So, as my husband continued healing and getting even stronger, I spent the last month getting back on track.

First, like Dusty here, I caught up on sleep.

That sound great on the recovery. Most I know who have had it are very happy with the results

So pleased Mr LaP has done so well. But isn't a certificate a teensy bit '9 years old'?

One of my Patchy Ladies is due for knee surgery but has been 'bounced' three times now, since November last year. The joys of the NHS... She has been given another date for the last day of this month so fingers crossed. The frustrating thing is that she has to take a lot of medication for past issues (cancer etc) and each time they bounce her (ie send her home of the day without doing the op as there is no bed or no surgeon available) she gets a bit iller in her other areas as she has been unable to take the medication she needs due to the operation. People think our NHS is wonerful; if only they knew...

Certificate was a joke given by a P/T who gets frustrated by clients who just won't do the work. On the other hand my husband is a guy who is going to do the work and make jokes about it. I think they were sorry to see him go.

NHS story,(Sigh). That is troubling.
