I have mixed emotions about this. When I first heard the news I felt a sense of relief but at the same time I thought, so what? The death of this man is not going to end terrorism nor does his death balance out the numerous deaths he was responsible for in the world. I do think his death is a good thing because now a great part of our nation's political and military resources will no longer be focused on finding and destroying him. This can only lead to a lessening of the blood lust that fueled the hunt and our foreign policy.
My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of all the victims of that horrific day in 2001. May this news bring some measure of peace to you all.

I think it was good and hope it might mean a sooner end to our wars overseas. It's not like he's the only terrorist but he was a major symbol which could lead to more attacks but also shows that we will come after those who do such. It won't stop fanatics but might have younger people thinking about where it will get them. Whether it helps or not, it was the right thing to do.
He was just a figurehead. Now let's see what havoc/revenge the followers wreak. It won't be good...
Oh, I totally agree it was the right thing, Rain, it was the only way it could have ended.
Yeah, it's like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
