The Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is a centuries old trek across northern Spain done by following "The Camino de Santiago", the road to Santiago. Before February of 2001 I had not heard of "The Camino" nor of the Pilgrimage. By the end of October of that year I was in Santiago after completing the walk myself. I thought that when I reached Santiago my journey was over but I see now that my journey started way before I got to Spain and still has not ended.

Rocky Mountain High 4
This is the reason why we did not have phone service in the cabin for almost a week. The phone company repairman said the damage was done by cattle. My husband said it was done by bears. I'm going with my husband's explanation as cattle do not have sharp teeth and there were numerous bite marks on the wires made by very sharp teeth. The cattle are probably responsible for knocking the cover off the box though as they like to rub up against objects whenever they have an itch and there were two spots on both upper corners of the box where the paint had been completely rubbed off and metal was showing.

So what you're saying is that the cattle and the bears have formed a coalition intent upon keeping you detached from the world at large. Wow! A conspiracy perhaps? ;)
Ally, I didn't mention the conspiracy part because I was afraid people would think I was being paranoid. Glad to find out someone else spotted it. ;)
You're not paranoid if they really are out to get you!
Is there cell phone coverage in the area?
Looks an amazing experience.
Yes, if you stood at the southeast corner of the deck. Anytime it rained, and it rained a bit that week, the link was gone. So we were not completely isolated.
