The Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is a centuries old trek across northern Spain done by following "The Camino de Santiago", the road to Santiago. Before February of 2001 I had not heard of "The Camino" nor of the Pilgrimage. By the end of October of that year I was in Santiago after completing the walk myself. I thought that when I reached Santiago my journey was over but I see now that my journey started way before I got to Spain and still has not ended.

I'd already seen the Grauniad's report but thanks for the take from your side of the pond LaP!
I don't watch debates among the party wannabes, but I certainly heard and read all about this one. I take it, the children were displeased that the questions didn't live up the their expectations. So sad, to be disappointed like that. Yet a good opportunity to show the world that you're made of sterner stuff. Which I take, the GOPers did not.
You are welcome, Nic.
Ally, I know, someone call them a waaah, waaah, waaambulence.
What got me, based on what I've been reading, was the weakness of the moderators. When the candidates lied, they didn't call them on it. That means the right wing will never know of the lies. Good moderators, who are quoting a candidate and asking them about what they said, should have their statistics right in front of them. In some of the questions, I felt they lost control by adding on too many modifiers and losing their real point. Better moderators make for better debates.
Agree, better moderators do make for better debates and not having the information to back-up their questions is inexcusable on their part.
And I kept waiting for them to ask the candidates,"If you were a color, what color would you be?"
