The Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is a centuries old trek across northern Spain done by following "The Camino de Santiago", the road to Santiago. Before February of 2001 I had not heard of "The Camino" nor of the Pilgrimage. By the end of October of that year I was in Santiago after completing the walk myself. I thought that when I reached Santiago my journey was over but I see now that my journey started way before I got to Spain and still has not ended.

We Wish You A Rapey Christmas
I see Bloomingdale's department store hired some frat boys to create their Christmas catalog this year.
The Federal Trade Commission's Division of Advertising Practices pretty much comes in after they get complaints. Complaints about this ad were sent directly at Bloomingdale's and the company quickly apologized. But that doesn't absolve the company of any blame since someone in the company had to approve the layouts in the catalog.
As one news agency wrote, " Bloomingdale's has not commented on the process of reviewing advertisements or any disciplinary action resulting from the debacle."

There is some amazing stupidity out there. Ugh!
I know! What the hell are people thinking.
I read this article yesterday and wondered about the advert, too. Weirdly out of touch. On purpose? Or by stupidity? Strange either way.
Kids! What's the matter with kids today? ;)
Do you have an 'Advertising Standards Authority'?
Ours would have this withdrawn in an instant.
