The Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is a centuries old trek across northern Spain done by following "The Camino de Santiago", the road to Santiago. Before February of 2001 I had not heard of "The Camino" nor of the Pilgrimage. By the end of October of that year I was in Santiago after completing the walk myself. I thought that when I reached Santiago my journey was over but I see now that my journey started way before I got to Spain and still has not ended.

July 5th: The Day After Independence Day
For those of you across the pond, now I understand why some of you may not be that thrilled with our holiday.
Heh, heh, I remember working with an American who couldn't understand why we didn't have July 4th as a holiday....My "What, to celebrate getting rid of you?" replay was wasted I think. Hope you had a good one, hope we can get there too one day (a Republic, that is).
Love your story but what did you expect? Most American's don't know their own history let along that of other countries.
Besides, why would we want learn anything about any another country's history when it would only be a waste of time since AMERICA IS THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WHOLE WORLD!(Typed with dripping sarcasm.)
